Paul Buxbaum
| Gary Jorgensen Gary Jorgensen, Vice President of Buxbaum Jewelry Advisors, leads a team dedicated to assisting wholesale and retail jewelers in distress. Gary has over three decades of experience in the jewelry industry in several different capacities. A recognized expert in the asset recovery sector of the business, he has directed “special event “ and a variety of other sales for some of the largest and most recognized retail chains in the North America. Gary has personally facilitated the orderly liquidations of hundreds of stores, millions of dollars of merchandise, and has a proven track record of successfully maximizing sales and net returns. Gary has worked with all of the major North American retail liquidation firms, either directly or as part of a joint venture. Mr. Jorgensen started his asset recovery career with Silverman Consultants in 1987 shortly after closing his own jewelry store. Gary quickly became one of Silverman’s busiest consultants, specializing in Catalog Showrooms and AGS jewelry stores. After 12 years with Silverman Consultants, Gary went to work with the Buxbaum Group for the first time and was a lead consultant on many multi store liquidations, including Kmart and Jacobson’s Department Stores. In 2005, Gary was employed by Wilkerson and Associates, the largest jewelry liquidator in the United States as a supervisor and business analyst. With the formation of Buxbaum Jewelry Advisors, Gary took the opportunity to work with his long time friends at Buxbaum Group in 2008. Gary is a certified gemologist and attended Iowa State University. He currently resides in Phoenix, Arizona, where Buxbaum maintains its Southwest regional office.
